Hanoi, Vietnam, February 16th 2024
On this last day of the tranquility of Luang Prabang, I started with an early morning stroll to the morning market, just catching the last glimpse of the serene alms giving ceremony outside of our hotel.

At the early morning, almost no other tourists were in sight, and I got to see the locals having their breakfast and getting their shopping done.

A truly lazy last day in Luang Prabang, reflecting the serenity of the city. We had time for a last lunch, before taking off towards Hanoi as the sun started to set.

Stepping off the plane in Hanoi, the contrast was immediately evident. The lively streets, the symphony of honking horns, and the bustling energy of Vietnam’s capital welcomed us.

We went out for a quiet dinner and a rooftop drink overlooking Hoàn Kiếm lake in the middle of Hanoi.

Back to the hotel we strolled along the lake which was beautifully lit up.

Tomorrow’s full-day excursion will offer us insights into the layers of history, culture, and daily life that define Hanoi.
