Early bird catch the worm. Got up with the locals and headed for Kizu market.

This is a combined regular and wholesale market very much focused on fish and seafood.

The presentation of the seafood is great – everything smells and looks very fresh, and there was a lot of locals buying their breakfast sashimi or sushi.

Outside of the market there was a designated area to eat the breakfast so I had to get some sushi as well.

Heading back to the city centre, still early morning. I guess there is a lot of bad weather here, as the underground shopping mall stretches for seversl blocks, and on top of that a lot of the streets are covered.

Finishing of the morning stroll I went past Dotonbori – the canal area which I am sure comes to life in the evening.

And at last a good cup of coffee accompanied by a fresh croissant!
