Tokyo – spring tuna meal

Tokyo, March 29th 2026

Scouting beforehand, this small sushi restaurant popped out – for three days they had a spring tuna festival meal.

It is a bar counter restaurant with 7 seats, so we were well taken care of.

The meal started with four small dishes, and the chef proudly presented the star of the show – the four spring tuna variants.

Baby squid, sea urchin roe and sardines

Knife skills were as expected – immaculate.

The meal continued with several servings of nigiri sushi, invluding the four spring tuna variants.

Each nigiri was prepared and presented individually, and should be eaten within seconds after arriving on the plate.

The last part of the meal included fried oyster spring roll and more sea urchin.

Truly a memorable meal – prepared by the two skilled staff.
