Osaka, March 30th 2026

Arrived in Osaka in time for a small castle visit. It is strange to see Osaka as a «smaller city» when it has 2.8 million inhabitants, but anywhere is small compared to Tokyo.

Osaka castle is an imposing 8 story building on top of a hill surrounded by a big moat.

Inside the castle there is a historical display, bit the best bits are in places where you cannot take photos.

The Osaka skyline view from the top was great with a lot of green areas around tha castle.

The Sakura cherry blossom period is a time for taking pictures and having picnics with good friend.

I believe I will enjoy the rest of my stay here in Osaka.
