Early morning to get up to visit a couple of places that was recommended by a local.

This area is relaxed with a backpacker vibe.

Morning light on a large golden standing buddha, where you could also climb the stairs to get a rooftop view of the sunrise.

Moving past narrow steeets up to the Dusit Palace.

Close by the temple with the smiling buddha was calm before the other tourists poured in.

For a late breakfast this local food hall was an excellent choice.

Back down towards the city centre I met more locals of different nature.

I went by metro back out to the sitting buddha.

Bangkok also boasts huge concrete structures to support roads and metro lines – not always pretty.

Shopping masls are a big part of the modern partnof the city and represents air-conditioned retreats in an otherwise hot city.

Last sunset of the trip – back to the riverside and a goodbye to Bangkok and Thailand for this time!
