Back in Bangkok for the last days of vacation. Having seen Wat Arun in the evening sun, today was the time to enjoy the sunrise and go visit.

Some temple sunrise silhouettes on the way there.

The morning ligth did not disappoint at all.

Wat Arun itself was a strange but fun experience. This is where locals and tourists dress up in traditional costumes and take pictures of themselves. So it was equally fun to see them as the temple itself.

A lunch trip across the river provided another angle of the city.

The fun street encounters in Bangkok never stops.

In the evening we joined another food tour – this time in Chinatown of Bangkok. The first stop was chive patties and pork stew

The second stop was in a courtyard where we had pork sate sticks and an egg noodle soup.

Through narrow alleyways we got to our third stop where we ate prawn dumplings.

The street vendors and the shops in this area live in parallel universes.

The fourth stop was chicken and noodles

The fifth stop was in an old movie theatre where the old posters still decorated the walls. We ate tapioka noodles.

The sixt stop was a seafood restaurant, where we had prawns, hot pot and curried clams.

For the seventh and last stop we had the classic mango sticky rice dessert.
A great food tour in the bustling Chinatown area!
