Reims – wine tour

Reims, July 15th 2024

Destination: Reims snd surrounding villages. Started quite early to explore Reims. It is a city with nice boulevards – and quite a few big Champagne houses.

I stopped at one of the family owned houses vlose to the station – Charles de Cazenove. A nice tasting room in the middle of the production facility,

Their Christmas bottle looked a lot like the Norwegian «Marius sweater» –

After this tasting I walked a bit around the city – nice monuments and grand buildings – and stopped by the cathedral with its unique stained glass windows.

After lunch it was time for pick-up for a small producer wine tour.

We got to visit two small, but very different, Champagne houses.

We also got to se me the church in Hautvilliers where Dom Perignon is buried – said to be the inventor of Champagne

On the tour we also got to see some lovely scenery of the plots around Reims.

A very nice tour and visit to Reims!
