Epernay, July 15th 2024

Bastille Day yesterday – national celebration with military parades all over France. Not so in Epernay.

The celebration here is a communal picnic along Avenue de Champagne. «White night» theme, with the Champagne houses and vendors along the avenue providing refreshments.

All the courtyards along the street are also in use, with cheerful celebration to diverse music.

A great night!

Today, my plan is a day out in Reims, a bigger city, also brimmed with Champagne producers.
