On the plan this morning was a walk along the river Main, and I passed by the cathedral and the court building on the way there.

Wide and welcoming walkways along both sides of the river.

Frankfurt also has a modern skyscraper skyline that dwarfs the churches from the distace.

On the south side of Main lies the district Sachsenhausen. The layout and the buildings were neo-classical, reminded me of the buildings back home in Oslo.

The lunch was eaten in the shades, lovely home made lamb sausages.

I also found a cool backyard and decided to come back here for the last dinner on this trip.

The afternoon was spent relaxing in the city centre, just watching people admiring some of the grand buildings.

In the evening the river bank turnes into a relaxation zone, with beach chairs, music and floating restaurants.

No trip to Germany without having schnitzel!

The goodbye drink was taken by a riverside bar where you can sit at the waterfront. A calm finish to a nice day in Frankfurt.
